Chanakya (fl. c. 4th century BCE[1]) was an Indian teacher, philosopher, economist, jurist and royal advisor. He is traditionally identified as Kauṭilya or Vishnugupta, who authored the ancient Indian political treatise,the Arthashastra.[2]
